Dear Delegates,
We invite you to join us in Sydney in October for one of the
highlights of our year – the
Australian International Education Conference.
Building on its 24 year history, the AIEC 2010 is the main
annual meeting point for ideas,
research and discussion about international education. It is a must
for international
education professionals, academic and teaching staff, researchers
and corporate staff who
work in our growing field.
As always, the AIEC will give you the opportunity to absorb and
discuss the issues
currently facing international education, the prospects ahead and
the strategies required to
position the industry for the future.
This year we have chosen a conference theme,
Engaging for the Future, which
reflects
the reality that international education today is a major
enterprise whose impact stretches
well beyond the education field. One stream within the conference
will cover external
engagement with other business sectors, government, media and the
community. Another
will cover our industry’s engagement in strategy, policy and
advocacy and how we are
dealing with the rapidly changing business and regulatory
environment.
In addition, the AIEC 2010 will also cover the key streams
of student experience, learning
and teaching and the business of international education.
We particularly recommend the conference to newcomers in
international education as
the AIEC gives a broad and in-depth introduction to the field as
well as being the premiere
networking event in the industry.
We also welcome international delegates who have always played a
special role at the
AIEC and this year we expect there will be a substantial number of
international speakers
and presenters.
One of the most satisfying aspects of the AIEC is the
opportunity to renew friendships
and make new contacts, both within the international education
industry and among our
many stakeholder groups. Networking opportunities this year will be
a strong as ever using
the excellent facilities of the Sydney Convention and Exhibition
Centre at Darling Harbour
and the extensive opportunities in the conference program to meet
and mix with other
delegates.
We look forward to seeing you in Sydney.
.
Yours sincerely,
